Five strands of Zulu Teething Beads. The beads are hard natural seeds and are sold in Africa to make necklaces for children to chew on as a teething remedy.

Although already strung and can be worn immediately, they are not strung very securely and will need to be restrung eventually but this is reflected in their wholesale price. See below for instructions on how to restring your Zulu Teething Beads.

Zulu Teething Beads look especially good with black, greys and neutrals.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Piece of nylon or beading cord
  • Scissors
  • Needle small enough to fit through the Zulu Teething Beads
  1. Step1

Cut a piece of nylon cord or beading cord 15 inches longer than the length that you would like your necklace to be.

  2. Step2

Thread a needle with the cord and tie a knot 5 inches from the end.

  3. Step3

Slip the beads over the needle and onto the cord.

  4. Step4

When all the beads are strung, tie the two ends of the cord together in a double knot.

  5. Step5

Trim the ends of the cord, leaving each a length equal to a Zulu Teething Bead.

  6. Step6

Tuck each end of the excess cord back into the last bead.
